A former employee at Days Gone developer Sony Bend Studio has claimed on their LinkedIn profile that the company has multiple cancelled/unannounced projects.
Jacob Fieth worked at Sony Bend from September 2019 — June 2025, and during this time revealed that they were involved in ‘multiple cancelled/announced projects.’ Fieth went on to note some the tasks that this involved, including creating and iterating on open-world events and missions, prototyping open world events, puzzles and systems, and creating layouts for various POIs in the open world.

Bend Studio was previously working on a live service title that was scrapped by Sony earlier this year, although the identity of the title wasn’t divulged. Following this, Bloomberg reported that 30% of the team were being laid off following the cancellation of the project.
Sony Bend Studio’s most recent project was 2019’s Days Gone, which launched for the PS4 and was later ported to PC and PS5 . Previously, the developer worked on the Syphon Filter games on the PSOne and also developed the Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the PS Vita.
